Physical therapy in Edmonton South includes manual therapy, cupping, dry needling, therapeutic exercises, electrical modalities, thermal agents, and various taping techniques.

We have an excellent team of experienced therapists who each bring their own skills and knowledge to the table. The initial appointment tends to consist of a 15-30 minute assessment, the development of a tailored treatment plan, and the first treatment on your road to recovery. The entire visit tends to last approximately 60 minutes. As you progress into your treatments, subsequent appointments will last anywhere from 45-60 minutes. We never book more than 3 patients an hour per therapist, so you’re guaranteed to get one-on-one time with your therapist, every time you come for treatment.
The duration of your treatment plan of care will depend on a number of factors including how severe your injury is, how quickly you want to get better and how diligent you are in following your home treatment plan. Your therapist will outline their plan when you come in for your initial visit, and revise it as needed based on your progress and personal goals.

Acupuncture works in conjunction with other techniques to provide a natural solution to pain management, reducing uncomfortable symptoms and reducing your pain.

Traditional Chinese Medicine was developed in China over 2000 years ago. It includes various forms of acupuncture, massage, herbal medicine, dietary therapy, and exercise.

This form of medicine is mainly concerned with identifying functional states which regulate digestion, breathing, etc. Disease is interpreted as a lack of harmony between the functional states and the environment. These disharmonies can be treated using acupuncture needle insertion, but other effective modalities such as cupping/fire cupping, guasha, and acupressure are available for patients that have a fear of, or are unable to, receive the traditional methods of needling

At our clinic, we offer a unique acupuncture experience. Acupuncture appointments are booked for 60 minutes, in which you can expect to spend the entire duration of every appointment one-on-one with our therapist. You will get re-evaluated each visit, and your treatment will be adjusted to your health and wellbeing on that day, as well as targeted towards your overall goal.

At Freedom Physical Therapy, our chiropractors have a high success rate with their multi-modal and highly integrative approach to treatment.
Our experienced chiropractic doctors are committed to helping you feel better by providing an individualized patient care plan for your injury.

They take the time to assess your pain in a methodical fashion which includes analyzing movements, feeling mobility of the spine and peripheral joints or determining if muscles are working together correctly when you move.

Once our chiropractors identify faulty movement patterns, they treat them with effective techniques that will help correct underlying issues as quickly as possible!

Chiropractic care is a regulated health care profession that focuses on spinal, muscular, and joint pain or injuries. Every muscle, organ and tissue in your body is impacted by your nervous system. If there is interference to the normal function of your nervous system, then your spine, musculoskeletal system and the rest of your body is negatively impacted and you will likely feel pain or discomfort.

It focuses on restoring normal movement, relieving pain and maintaining the health of your joints, muscles and nerves. Depending on your condition, the chiropractor may manipulate parts of your spine or other joints and offer a range of supplementary treatment techniques including stretches, rehabilitative exercises, and advice on lifestyle and nutrition.
